About this site

Welcome to this gateway to meditation and the Buddhist path. Below, you will find my current teaching schedule and special announcements. Under “Insight Teachings,” on the left navigation bar, I offer recordings of my talks, guided meditations, written meditation help and articles about the dharma.

You’re invited to connect with me and the community by commenting on blog posts. You can also use the Contact form, above, to ask me confidential questions about your practice.

I perform weddings, memorials and other rites of passage, all on a donation basis. See “In Person” for more details. Please use the Contact form to let me know how I can help. Samples of my photography are displayed in the “Galleries.”

This site is dedicated to the well-being of all.

Teaching schedule

Insight Oakland:  Mondays,  5:15 – 6:30 pm

Unitarian Church, 685 14th St. (at Castro), 3rd Floor Library, unless there’s a room change noted on the sign in the entry-way.  Meditation begins at 5:30 pm, followed by group discussion about living mindfully, from 6-6:30, and a brief dharma talk on the first Monday of each month. This is a welcoming, dana-based group familiar with the 12 steps. Chairs are available and you’re welcome to bring equipment to sit on the floor.  Please arrive in the library by 5:30, when the building’s front door is often locked. We meet every week unless announced by email. To get our emails, ask to be signed up by using Contact.
